Nice

Nice

Welcome to Nice, the glittering pearl of the Côte d'Azur, an enchanting destination that combines elegance, art de vivre and natural beauty.

Nice is the city lighthouse of the Côte d'Azur. This veritable metropolis is France's 5th largest city in terms of population, and thanks to major projects such as Acropolis, Sophia Antipolis, the Palais des Congrès and its international airport (the 2nd largest in France after Paris), Nice has opened up to industrial, scientific and high-tech activities.

Both elegant and popular, Nice has all the charm of a Mediterranean city, where the sweetness of life is due as much to the city's beauty as to its exceptional climate.

Proud of their independent past, the Nicois have their own language (Nissart) and a typical cuisine with spicy flavors, just like their famous carnival: Pissaladières (tarts with onions, anchovies and olives), Ratatouille (tomatoes, eggplant, zucchini) or Pan Bagnat (bread filled with vegetables) or Salade Niçoise, all generously drizzled with olive oil and garnished with Niçoise olives (caillettes), which are small and black.

Nice is also a city of arts and culture, with the most museums after Paris. The city is lively day and night, with the Nice Jazz Festival in the superb arena and gardens of Cimiez, and the flower battle on the Promenade des Anglais launched by the prettiest girls on the Côte d'Azur.

Every day, the Cours Saleya is the site of a large flower market, with fruit and vegetables in the morning. The vitality of these neighborhoods, with their markets surrounded by stores and restaurants, is contagious, and a lively atmosphere is guaranteed.
